Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Tim responded to the call to ministry at the age of 12. Due in part, no doubt, to the fact that he was raised in a Christian home where the virtues of ministry were always held in high esteem. He became the third generation pastor/preacher in the family.

Tim married Jane following his junior year of college. Graduating from Friends University in Wichita with a B.A. degree Tim then chose to continue his education at Nazarene Theological Seminary and was awarded the Doctor of Divinity Degree from Nazarene Bible College in 2002.

He accepted his first assignment as pastor in 1974 in the Oklahoma City suburb of Del City where he and Jane served for six years. Other assignments included Independence, Kansas, General Headquarters of the Church of the Nazarene, Tulsa, Oklahoma and then for 15 years at First Church of the Nazarene in Denver, Colorado.

Since 2010, Tim has been serving as Interim Pastor in churches that are in transition. He has found these assignments to be some of his most rewarding. Tim says, “I feel like I served as pastor for 38 years preparing me for these interim assignments.”
