Recently, the Board of General Superintendents approved a request from the Nazarene Children's Leadership Network (NCLN) to designate the first Sunday in November as Orphan Sunday. We are joining an international movement sponsored by the Christian Alliance for Orphans (www.cafo.org) and fueled by God.

We celebrate setting aside this time to raise awareness, pray, and give opportunity for God's people to explore and respond to His heart for the orphan in adoption, foster care, global orphan care, and local partnerships with the foster care community.

Will you join us on Orphan Sunday, November 3,  2013?

Your participation can be big or small; it can involve your Sunday School class, your small group, or your entire church. Need some ideas & resources? Check out www.orphansunday.org, where you will find videos, lesson plans, prayer guides, & more!

Please contact Margie Schwarz, NCLN Orphan Initiative coordinator, at orphans@kcnazkids.org, for more resources and ideas.
